The fruits of Aragon:

 

The fruits of Aragon are candies made from candied fruits, that is, softened and cooked in a strong concentration of sugary syrup (and sometimes in a liquor) so that they are preserved, which are then covered with chocolate. Its appearance is similar to that of a chocolate.

ingredients:

-Fruits(Apple, pear, peach, apricot, cherry, fig, plum, oranges)

-Sugar

-water

-chocolate.

Preparation:

Peel the fruits and cut them into pieces (except for the orange that we will leave with the loose and separated segments). In a pan with boiling water cook the pieces for 15-20 minutes. Drain the fruit and reserve the water, completing with half a liter of cold water. Continue adding sugar and poach the fruit another 20 minutes. Then drain and reserve the syrup.

The next day boil the syrup and cook the fruit in it for 15 minutes. When they are ready, they must be frosted in sugar and bathed in molten chocolate. We can cool them separately to avoid sticking.

 

Its presentation, is pleasant for the consumer, consists of a small wooden box wrapped in a polychrome paper. As in its origins, it is a characteristic gift.
